Surplex: Machinery auction following tool manufacturer’s closure

By Matt Williams -

Until 24/01/23, over 100 machines and accessories from a Hungarian tool manufacturer will be available for auction on Surplex.com.

Manufacturing high-quality tools require high energy expenditure and perfect coordination between machines. But geopolitical changes from the past year have severely impacted finances and aggravated production conditions for many businesses. Prices for raw materials, logistics and energy are rising significantly, forcing companies to make major cuts to in-house production. The current situation has also not spared tool manufacturers. Companies now wanting to upgrade their machinery must expect higher costs and look around for alternatives.

Buying second-hand machines is one such alternative. For example, auction house Surplex will be offering well maintained machines until 24/01/23, following the closure of a tool manufacturer in Hungary. Various high-quality machines designed for tool production will be up for auction. For example, a vertical eroding machine from manufacturer AgieCharmilles, which uses interactive control to enable precise work. Other models offered include:• AGIE CHARMILLES wire eroding machine• MIKRON vertical machining centre• ELB surface grinding machine• DECKEL MAHO vertical machining centre

Along with many other measuring machines, tool chucks, grinding machines, machine drills, measuring equipment and accessories. Machine viewings can be arranged on request. The Surplex auction house is the ideal partner for buying and selling second-hand machines. From on-site quality control to disassembly and customs processing, Surplex is your one-stop shop for the whole process.
