MVPro Media Speaks to Chromasens at Automatica 2023

By Matt Williams -

Automatica recently made its return to Munich! While there, MVPro Media’s Alex Sullivan caught up with Chromasens, a key provider of line scan technology.

Andre Noss, Sales Manager EMEA at Chromasens, talks us through some of the innovations which Chromasens displayed at Automatica. This includes the brand new multispectral allPIXA neo 4k/6k line scan camera series with 10GigE and CoaXPress interfaces, which enables simple and scalable integration in small installation spaces. It exceeds the requirements of demanding high-speed applications, such as material sorting, web, print and food inspection and general machine vision tasks.

Also on show was the Line Scan Vision Platform in a live demo on EV Battery Foil inspection, using a dual camera system of two allPIXA evo 8k line scan cameras with a CoaXPress interface. The system is a great solution for quick set-up and alignment of multi-camera systems with extra-large scan widths in high resolution for all high-speed inspection tasks such as Print, Sorting, Logistics, Pharma, Surface, PCB, Wafer and Web Inspection.

This year’s Automatica proved to be a great success, with approximately 40,000 visitors in attendance across the four days.
