The shift to virtual trade show events over the past year came as a monumental change and disappointment for most of those involved in the industry. The organisers of the events have adapted well, but if there is one organisation that should know how to put on a virtual event, it’s EPLAN who open for their sixth virtual event next month. Here’s everything you need to know about the EPLAN virtual fair.

The fact the fair will extend over two days is a testament to their past success. Just two weeks after the digital Hannover Messe (MVPro guide available soon), the EPLAN Virtual Fair will open with a new design and numerous topic-specific expansions from previous years for management and users.

With a 20 per cent increase in participants from more than 70 countries in 2020, EPLAN Software & Service Managing Director Haluk Menderes says, “After the success of the past years, we’re expanding the EPLAN Virtual Fair to cover two full days across different time zones”.

Topics include professional engineering and integrated, end-to-end processes, live talks for c-level executives on customer best practices and a new partner area EPLAN say offers attendees constructive inspiration. Topic-specific and country-specific webcasts and software demonstrations of the new solutions found on the EPLAN Platform will also be on show.

Daily panels with industry experts will take place at the EPLAN virtual fair.

Leadership talks at a management level will take place on themes like the ecosystem of industrial automation, the potential to be found in industrial panel building and roundtrip engineering. This year the themes are supplemented with new live talks for industry management, including in the disciplines of automotive, energy, building automation, maritime and process industry.

There will be six different live demonstrations on software topics each day by experts providing practical insights into EPLAN Platform innovations. The opportunities of the new cloud services as part of EPLAN ePulse are also on the programme, as well as various online games where attendees will be able to (virtually) compete against one another for prizes including three online update training sessions for the EPLAN Platform.

The newest update for 2021 is a newly created community area, offering all the companies participating in the EPLAN Partner Network the possibility to participate with their own “onsite” presence. This includes a 1:1 video chat, which EPLAN say gives everyone interested the chance to talk and exchange ideas across national borders.

The EPLAN virtual fair takes place on 28 and 29 April from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (CEST). The schedule is yet to be announced, but your guide to the EPLAN virtual fair will continue to be updated before the event.

You can register to attend on EPLAN’s website.
