Xenics has announced its participation in LynkEUs, a European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP), which is part of a multimillion Euro funded project.
The company is recognised as a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced infrared sensors, cameras and customised imaging solutions from the short-wave infrared (SWIR) to the long-wave infrared (LWIR) realm
In addition to the recently released products for industrial market, Xenics is also investing in cutting edge technologies for defence applications. Participation in LynkEUs and selection as a European funded EDIDP program demonstrates the place of Xenics as a leader in infrared cameras development and manufacturing.
LynkEUs project will define an initial operational concept for a European BLOS capability. It consists of a land missile system, a turret system to support and set up the missile using a UAV for target designation and a land platform.
Based on its cutting-edge developments on uncooled LWIR solutions, Xenics will demonstrate an ultracompact LWIR camera core that will be integrated on a UAV platform.
The LynkEUs project also includes key European defence players.
