A very good friend of mine uses the mantra ‘Always say yes’. It doesn’t matter what the offer is, take it.
He has two reasons for doing so. One, the opportunity may never come along again; two, you’ll never think ‘what if…’.
So, when the opportunity came along to become the new editor of MVPro Machine Vision and Automation, it was a very simple decision.
It’s great to be part of a team that is very passionate about the industry and proactively promotes the excellent work and innovations happening within the sector.
I want to share your successes, products and news through our various platforms.
I also want to get to know the people making the news, those who shape the industry and I’m looking forward to crossing paths at the various shows, forums and events over the coming months.
However, you can also drop me a message by email. Get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
It has been straight in at the deep end in bringing you this issue, which has seen the full integration of RoboPro. Rather than two magazines fused together, they have been blended to reflect how both sectors are also integrating more.
There is a lot crammed into this issue which covers the broad spectrum of news and views from across the industry.
We bring an in-depth, informative and engaging interview with CEI president Ray Berst; we discover what the future holds for MVTec’s Dr Wolfgang Eckstein; meet the latest winner of the EMVA Young Professional of the Year Dr Johannes Meyer and grab a quick 10 minutes with Alrad’s Ian Alderton.
There are some fascinating insights into new developments and products across the MV and
automation sector that are also worth a read.
Until next time…
