by | Jul 26, 2021

Digital camera manufacturer Allied Vision and LED lighting manufacturer Advanced illumination have released an information guide on integrating Allied Vision Mako Cameras with Advanced illumination lighting products and controllers.

Allied Vision’s Mako G is a GigE Vision-compliant camera in a compact, industrial housing. Many models of the camera include functionalities such as Precision Time Protocol (PTP), Trigger over Ethernet (ToE) Action Commands, and Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Mako G cameras are also available as Near Infrared (NIR) and polarizer variants. The Integration Guide details the compatibility between Advanced illumination controllers and lighting products with Mako cameras and includes wiring diagrams, triggering diagrams, technical specifications, and pinout charts.

“We understand how complex vision systems can be, so it was important to make it easier for users to integrate Allied Vision cameras and Advanced illumination lighting and control solutions”, said Henrik Ilsby, CCO of Allied Vision.

“We find it’s not only important to provide crucial technologies for our customers, but also resources to help get them started. This integration guide between Advanced illumination and Allied Vision is a perfect example of helping customers focus on what counts”.

The guide begins with an overview of the machine vision lighting categories from Advanced illumination, including each category’s advantages and common applications. This is followed by lighting controller information, including a matrix of technical specifications to help users choose the controller best suited for their applications. Controller wiring diagrams and triggering diagrams then instruct users how to integrate the company’s lighting controllers with Allied Vision Mako cameras.

Allied Vision supplies camera technology and image capture solutions for industrial inspection, medical and scientific imaging, traffic monitoring and more application areas in digital imaging. With offices in Asia, North America and Europe, the company distributes products globally.

John Thrailkill, CEO and Co-Founder of Advanced illumination, said, “Developing this resource with Allied Vision allowed us to deliver significant value to our customers who are working to achieve success in their inspection systems”.

Founded in 1993, Advanced illumination was the first lighting company to develop and sell an LED lighting product. Continuing in the same area, the company combines product development and process control to deliver tailored lighting solutions to its customers, including stock products that ship in 1-3 days and hundreds of thousands of Build-to-Order lights that are ready to ship in 1-3 weeks.
