AAEON Showcase at Intel Edge to Cloud Conference

By Matt Williams -

AAEON will showcase its AMR advancements at the Intel Edge to Cloud Conference. AAEON can be found at 7F, Hall 2 of the Nangang Exhibition Center on 23 March 2023.

As a pivotal figure in developing solutions for the growing Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) market, AAEON will host a live demonstration and discussion on the topic at the Intel Taiwan Edge to Cloud Conference, taking place on 23 March at 7F, Hall 2 of the Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei.

AAEON has long been known for its professional developer boards, which have helped to facilitate innovation across robotics, drone, machine vision, digital signage, and IoT. However, with the addition of edge systems and development kits to their catalog, AAEON’s UP team have made great strides in providing innovators with the tools to get creative in the AMR space.

Cost-effective, customizable, and community-driven, the UP product line has always been geared towards enabling developers to produce unique applications with the aid of new and scalable Intel® technologies.

During this year’s conference, UP Product Manager Wendy Lee will cover topics such as the projected growth of the AMR market, the benefits of AMR, and address how to overcome common pain-points when developing robotics projects. Alongside this, Lee will illustrate the real-life potential of AMR applications powered by UP products through successful use cases.

To give prospective developers, project managers, and industry professionals a glimpse at AMR technology in practice, Lee will also hold a live demonstration of a robot car powered by the new UP Xtreme i12. Featuring 12th Gen Intel® Core™/Celeron® processors and support for Intel EI for AMR (comprised of Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ Toolkit, Intel® RealSense™ SDK 2.0, and Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit), the robot car will demonstrate what can be achieved.

“In expanding our product range to target this market we have made sure to keep the UP community at the forefront of our decision-making, adhering to our commitment to producing high-quality, cost-efficient solutions on the smallest possible form factors,” Lee explained. “With our products characterized by a combination of the latest Intel technology and AAEON’s design expertise, we are excited to showcase how UP can advance AMR across industries.”
